The Pod is been built by deaf students from the Whisper Boat Building Academy in South Africa and so provide The Pod owners with the opportunity to facilitate the learning process and skills development for deaf, disadvantaged South African students. By allowing these students to acquire professional boat-building skills and knowledge, the owners of The Pod will ultimately demonstrate their social responsibility and eco sensitivity.
